The New Lab, known as the best commercial color film processing lab in San Francisco, had spent almost all their money on truck-sized automated processing machines from Denmark and needed to adapt a warehouse for move-in with practically no construction budget. Only enclosed space is a box that is half opaque (sheetrock on studs) for darkrooms and half transparent (glass on studs) for inspecting, cutting, and mounting finished work.
